This position is responsible for the payroll reporting of the nursing departments at the University of Utah Hospital. The incumbents will follow UUHC payroll practices, as well as federal and State laws regarding timekeeping.

Responsibilities:

- Reconciles daily schedule changes and data entry for the payroll of multiple departments.
- Collects and validates timecard exception documentation, including missed punches.
- Trains and supports staff and managers on appropriate use of time clocks, e-mail exception formats and processes, Kronos approval and sign off.
- Enters Kronos data, applying unit transfers and pay codes.
- Reconciles timecards both daily and weekly.
- Maintains active communication with the Payroll office and Human Resources to resolve any pay issues.
- Prepares time and attendance reports, weekly overtime reports, call off, flex and on call reports, and missed punches reports for managers and nursing directors.
- Participates in departments internal audits to ensure the proper utilization of the system is in place.
- Prepares dashboards for bi-weekly and monthly reports to managers and nursing directors.
- Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies including underpayments, overpayments and payment with incorrect code or account.
- Reviews and reconciles weekly account charges.
- Reviews and reconciles department’s final labor reports.

This position is responsible for procuring supplies, service and equipment for an assigned area and in accordance with University of Utah Healthcare (UUHC) guidelines as well as state and federal procurement laws. - Obtains products via direct purchasing or distributor through established UUHC procurement procedures and approved software.

- Screens, analyzes, and processes new product requests. Ensures compliance of new product requests with current standardization and cost containment initiatives.

Analyze purchase options and sourcing for new product requests to assess value of request to the organization.
